Museum of Chinese in America, Chinatown Walk + Dim Sum Luncheon |
|
Join Justin as we discover the history of Manhattan’s Chinatown as well as the history of the Chinese community in the United States. Included will be a private educator-guided tour of the new Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) designed by the internationally acclaimed artist and designer Maya Lin. Explore this new Manhattan architectural treasure as we discover the exhibit, With a Single Step: Stories in the Making of America. This one-hour gallery talk will provide an overview of Chinese in America from the 19th century to present day. Items in the Museum’s collection are used to highlight the major themes of the exhibit.
After the gallery tour, we will stroll the streets of Chinatown, discovering some of its social and cultural sites (including a secret underground tunnel) ending with a Dim Sum luncheon at the Golden Unicorn (Vegetarian options available).
TOUR IS LIMITED TO 25 PARTICIPANTS. Please read attached WW brochure for additional information.
